WHAT TYPES OF ANTI-GRAFFITI COATING ARE THERE?
Basically, there are two kinds: Sacrificial and non-sacrificial. While both are highly effective at combatting nasty graffiti, it’s important to know the difference. Sacrificial coatings are almost unnoticeable, non-permanent, and more cost-effective. However, once you remove any graffiti applied on top of it, your anti-graffiti coating will be removed too – meaning it’ll be time for a fresh coat. With its non-sacrificial counterpart, graffiti comes off more easily and can be used over and over and over again. Hundreds of times, in fact! This one’s a little more costly, which is why it’s preferred for bigger, riskier investments.
WHAT IF MY ASSET GETS VANDALIZED?
While nothing is guaranteed, your chances of recovering your surface are much higher with anti-graffiti coating then without it. Your ability to remove it also depends on the solvent used.
DO I NEED ANTI-GRAFFITI COATING?
This is one of the questions we hear the most. Ask yourself – how big of investment was/is your asset or property? If it were to fall victim to vandalism, how devastating would it be? Where is your property’s or asset’s location? Is it in a high-risk area for vandalism? If you meet any of the aforementioned criteria, it’s probably time to consider anti-graffiti coating. Signs in hard-to-reach areas are generally safer.
